Bermuda
"The Sommer Ilands"
At the centre of this map, a cartouche gives a description of the location of the Bermudas,
and the distances and directions from London and Viriginia, "exactlie surveyed".
All the islands are depicted and given their names as they were in the 17th Century.
The parishes are marked, and subdivided into numbered plots.
These numbers correspond to the table running along the bottom of the map,
which details the names of the inhabitant that owned each plot in 1622.
This map would be an ideal gift for anyone with links to the Bermuda Isles.
