Carmarthenshire
The important towns and villages, rivers and bridges, forests and hills of the county
are all laboriously marked on the map, and given the names that they were known by at the time,
whilst names shown on the map such as 'Louentium' and The Silures refer to a much earlier age.
A prospect of 'Caermarden' (Carmarthen) is placed in the top left corner,
along with a legend showing the streets and important buildings in the town.
This curious map would be a thoughtful gift
for anyone with an interest in the history of Carmarthenshire.
