encompassing both North and South Carolina from Cape Charles
down to Saint Augustine in Florida.
The 'Apalathean' (Appalachian) Mountains are shown in the top right of the map,
and beside them is shown 'The Rickohockans' - a name given at the time to the Cherokee.
Also shown on the map are the spurious 'Deserta Arenosa' and Ashley Lake,
along with the rivers, islands and settlements of the time.
