Thomas Brassey of Bulkeley, Cheshire, suscceeded to the representation of the senior branch of the Brassey
family at the death of his uncle in 1843. He married Maria Farrington, daughter of Joseph Harrison of Liverpool,
in 1831. Their fourth son, Albert, born 1844, married Matilda Marie Helena Bingham, daughter of John Charles Bingham,
fourth Lord Clanmorris.
